Business Research International Corporation Inc. [BRIC] established in 1987 is a company focused on long term, global, public equity investment opportunities. The investment mandate of the company is sector agnostic but BRIC generally invests in blue chip companies with a low risk and long term approach to business.
BRIC originated as and remains a family business established by Ambassador Iftekhar Karim. In 2010, Mishal Karim joined the company as Vice President and Director and was primarily in charge of developing the Private Equity and Venture Capital side of the business. His focus is primarily on opportunities originating in Bangladesh but he plans to start looking at opportunities across Asia in the near future.
BRIC’s current global portfolio holdings are valued approximately at USD $225 million. BRIC’s investments in Bangladesh include a 21.8% stake in Renata Ltd (valued at $1 BN +), one of the largest companies in Bangladesh, formerly Pfizer Laboratories (Bangladesh) Ltd.

VISION: BRIC has always succeeded by considering investments and how they would perform in the long run. The company’s focus going forward is to seek out investment opportunities that will help the economy, benefitting individuals from different walks of life and have positive returns both economically and socially.
